Lorena led the first national licensing process for radiopharmaceutical production and distribution in Ecuador. She is committed to promoting the peaceful use of nuclear energy, advancing the inclusion of women in science and technology, and strengthening effective communication on radiological protection. She currently serves as President of WiN Ecuador and as Regional Representative of the WiN Global Young Generation for Latin America and the Caribbean.
