WiN Finance Group of Expertise is a gender inclusive, collaborative network which brings together and shares financing knowledge and resources across the entire civil nuclear lifecycle, through in-person and online events.
Finance needs are considered from technology innovation and project development, to commissioning, operations and decommissioning, including fuel sourcing, storage, and recycling.
WiN Finance seeks to address the challenges associated with securing competitive financing for land-based and offshore nuclear plants: from gigawatt scale to small, advanced and micro modular reactors, across fission and fusion.
Powering and decarbonizing AI infrastructure and energy intensive industries with nuclear are key WiN Finance ambitions. Additionally, to advocate the multidisciplinary uses of nuclear energy, WiN Finance collaborates across WiNGlobal technical chapters to enable investment beyond electricity generation, including harnessing isotopes for agriculture and medicine, hydrogen and sustainable fuel production, district heating or cooling, and transportation.
The Women in Nuclear Law Initiative (WiNLI) was launched in March 2023 under the framework of the partnership between WiN Global and the OECD Nuclear Energy Agency (NEA). This partnership was launched in September 2022 with the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between the NEA and WiN Global to further strengthen the common objective of both to improve gender balance in the nuclear sector.
WiN Finance champions female expertise whilst promoting gender equity and seeks to be a source of information and launchpad for innovative financing solutions shared by financiers and non-financiers.
Established within the global not-for-profit organization, WiN Finance is founded by Fresco CleanTech Solutions, with Miller Insurance Services, White & Case and Westinghouse Electric Company as Initial Partners. WiN Finance launched on 5 November 2025 during World Nuclear Exhibition 2025 in Paris, France.
The Founder and Partners host networking events, lead knowledge-sharing discussions and/or influence technical expertise.
“A nuclear power plant is no different to that of any large infrastructure project. However, there are several features specific to nuclear projects that present unique considerations for investors, including technical complexity, political and regulatory risks, liabilities, and high fixed to variable cost ratios.” – World Nuclear Association.
